Doing Weekly Accomplishment Sheets

Jump to Comments

I am pleased to tell you I have begun doing WASs again. I got out of the habit and was not even knowing exactly how much I was making. This is such a helpful tool. I can track my average per face/class and see where improvements need to be made.

Doing my last 3 classes did not take long at all! Maybe 5 minutes… Thanks to “anonymus” for telling me how it is and giving me that kick in the rear to track my sales professionally! To all: Have you done a Weekly Accomplishment Sheet lately?

  • I have also been keeping up w/ mine! I was really bad with it, but this year I got back into the habit. It’s so much easier to work when you can see what you’ve been doing! :)

  • WAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations MKRules and Shadesofpink!

    Yes, the WAS is one of the most important tools we have! I complete it on a DAILY basis (but only hit submit once a week) and while it’s good for our directors to see our strengths, weaknesses, and know how we’re doing, it’s really for US. Doing my WAS daily let’s me know exactly where I am everyday towards my goals for the week.

    Having the WAS done allows me to immediately figure out my skin care class or facial averages, I know how many skin care sets I’ve sold, how many faces I’ve done, etc. Because of the WAS, I can treat my business like a business.

    I LOVE THE WAS!

  • Ok, a twist on WAS’s. I found if you work them backwards (kind of like a “diet diary”) it is really helpful in finding those extra minutes where you can squeeze more MK (or whatever) into your plan. I worked mine backwards for 2 weeks in a row and found it very helpful in that I discovered a pattern of “slack” time I could work MK into. It was almost embarassing looking at the times I didn’t do anything! A definate eye-opener for me.

  • How do you work the WAS backwards New to Pink?

    The only thing I can think of is to work the Weekly Plan Sheet backwards. When I do that, I go back to my legal assistant days where I had to bill my time in 15 minute increments and keep a detailed diary of my day. I’ve done that with the Weekly Plan Sheet and it is very eye opening.

  • I think NewtoPink was confusing the WAS ( weekly accomplishment sheet) with the WPS ( weekly plan sheet)

  • Dara, you are so right! That is exactly what I did. My excuse (and I am stickin with it) I have been on pretty strong pain meds for a tooth issue. (Note to self: no blog posting while on meds. LOL)

    I totally read this post as the “Weekly Plan Sheet”, not WAS. Ooops. However, part of my confusion stems from my using InTouch’s version of WAS and just clicking print! I never stopped using it either, even when it has “ZERO’s” for the week. I print it and review it.

    Working my weekly plan sheet backwards (diary type exactly like paralegal billing – which at one point was me too) just helps me to better manage my MK time, as well as my family time. I obviously use it in conjunction with my WPS though. Comparing what you plan with your diary of what you did can be an eyeopener.

  • Another couple of things that the WAS helps with.
    Set your goal for the week (maybe $300). Fold over one side edge of the sheet and write your goal on it and then subtract as you make sales during the week. You know exactlty how much you need to reach your weekly goal.

    Keep the sheets. At the end of the month, put them with copies of your sales tickets in a manilla envelope that is marked INCOME and the month. In another envelope marked EXPENSES drop all reciepts for any expenses (including orders to MK) for the month. At the end of the year you will have 24 envelopes (12 INCOME, 12 EXPENSES) to help you figure out your taxes.

    (I know most of us use some type of computer program to “keep” things straight for us but if you are like me or the computer crashes and you lose everything, this plan works easily and thoroughly)

  • I use Pink Office to track my inventory and all of my sales so it automatically does my WAS for me. It makes me life so much easier. At the end of every month my director likes us to send in total for the whole month so we can be recognized at our National rally I love having it all automated.

  • Wow, how much is that Pink Office service if I may ask?

  • All of those programs look awesome–I’ve seen many of them at Seminar. The only downfall: they aren’t Mac-compatible yet. I’m an “Apple geek.” I have an iMac. If anyone knows of a Mac program or if these programs have recently been developed for Macs, please, let me know! :)

  • MKRules, Pink Office does have a website http://www.pinkoffice.com and on itit says this:

    “What is PinkOffice?

    PinkOffice is a simple, web-based business management tool for busy consultants and directors.
    How can it help me?

    We’ve designed PinkOffice to make your life easier. From any computer with an internet connection:

    * Maintain customer profiles
    * Manage inventory levels
    * Create and manage invoices
    * Schedule appointments and follow up

    How much does it cost?

    Get all of these great features for only $7.95 per month, pre-pay for as little as $5.95 per month.”

    *************** *******************

    This website sounds great, but my own fear about using it’s services is that I’m wondering if the same thing that happened with Consultant Companion could happen with Pink Office. ALOT of people are now stuck because all their records were online at CC and now that CC is no longer operational, they don’t have access to them any more

  • I initially signed up with Pink Office last year at Seminar (they gave you a free trial month) and when my trial month was over, I cancelled it. Initially I was really excited about it, but as I went through my trial month (I only put about 5 clients in during that month to “play” with the website), I was less and less happy. I wish I could remember what I didn’t like, but it seemed to me there was something I wasn’t a fan of about the reports and I also didn’t like the idea that because it was web-based, Pink Office would have access to all my customer information. And if something went wrong (or if they went out of business), I would be SOL.

    My director uses Boulevard and so do a number of my friends and when I’m in Dallas for Seminar, I’m going straight to Boulevard. I’ve played with my director’s Boulevard and LOVE it. I love that it’s a program that is on my computer (not web-based). It’s compatible with a palm, so should I ever give up my day planner and really go high tech, I could have all my info there.

    Just my 2 cents.

  • Boulevard is the program I have seen. If they ever make a Mac version, I’m so buying it! :)

  • Beauty Advisor has a Mac compatible program. I had it when I had a Mac. They were pretty good about support. I have switched to a PC because MK stuff for Directors is not compatible with Mac. You may want to check it out. It is very similar to Boulevard.

  • Hey, thanks, fadingpink! Thanks for the tip about Director stuff, too…I’ll definitely keep that in mind. I want to get a laptop one of these days. Had my heart set on a Macbook, but I’m thinking for MK purposes, a PC laptop would be more practical–especially because I want to get software for customizing looks one day. ;)

  • I am so old fashioned. LOL!! I looked at Boulevard and other programs. If my business were much bigger than I might use something like that. Business needs to justify the cost. Mine MK business is small, so I do it the old way. Paper! :) I count the inventory and plug in the numbers on a spread sheet I made. Use InTouch customer lists, sales, etc. and WAS. Use Quicken as a back-up check/debit register and then the paper register that comes with the checks. LOL. That’s about all besides a manilla folder for receipts. :)

  • I also run my business the “old fashioned way.” I use My Customers on InTouch and try to record each of their purchases there, but find it very cumbersome. I do however keep their profiles up to date on My Customers. I use the Weekly Plan Sheet and in fact I love it so much that I completely ditched my Day Planner last year in favor of my homemade planner using Weekly Plan Sheets. I created a 3-ring binder with my affirmations, planner for the whole quarter (using Weekly Plan Sheets), entire customer list (printed from My Customers), my prospect list of women to facial, my recruiting prospect list (using a version from InTouch that I modified for my needs), a printout of my entire team and all of their contact info, and finally fliers of whatever promos were happening in my unit or with my team or for customers. I carry it EVERYWHERE. Once a quarter I print out a new list of my customers, so it’s always up-to-date. This binder is my bible. I can’t live without it.

    Oh, I also keep a list of places I drive frequently with the round-trip mileage from my house in my binder so I don’t really keep track of my mileage daily. I just keep track of my running around in my Weekly Plan Sheets and summarize the miles driven daily. My CPA told me this was ok with the IRS and actually suggested it when I was really bad about my mileage. This system has proved much easier for me.

    As for my business records, I kept the envelope system for years, but last year I lost a month of receipts and was quite unhappy. This year, I bought two accordian files with 12 sections in each one. One is my sales receipts and commission reports and the other is all of my receipts including bank statements, cell phone bills, etc. Both are organized by month. I love this new system and am much better organized this year.

    That said, my business is big enough that Boulevard would really help me, especially the unit report features that it has, as I become a director this year.

  • PinkOffice works on Mac shadesofpink – I am a Mac user as well. I don’t see any reason you need to get a PC for your MK business.

  • Thank you, Elysa! I will be happier to stick with Mac, anyway. :) I’ll check out PinkOffice.

  • I am one of many consultants who used “consultant companion and now find myself without some very important files and information. Since my computer in my office has been out of commission I have been using my laptop. I thougt it was just something with my laptop which was preventing me from logging on to the “CC” site or maybe they were updating and the site was not available. However after many attempts I stumbled onto the “Rip off” website where I learned I was among many who had been vitimized and lost important data. I was truly a very satisfied customer withe the “CC” website and was very glad to reffer it’s use to all of my team mates. At this point I would never recommend the use of any online business program. I am not a big fan of the “WWW” for a lott of reassons and the actions taken by “CC” opporators ranks at the top of my list.

    “XTREMLY DISAPPOINTED”

  • Hey, I just happened to stumble across this site today in doing some research. Glad I found you :-) I see that there has been some discussion about PinkOffice and Boulevard. I recently ordered Ascend Financials and PinkOffice, but wondered if maybe Boulevard was the way to go for tracking customers. I saw on the Ascend site that Ascend and Boulevard aren’t “competitors” but should compliment each other. But I’m wondering if the PinkOffice takes the place of or should compete with Boulevard and if anyone has any recommendations or comments.
    Thanks!!! It’s nice to find a positive MK site!!
