Here is a script you can use to book your power start:
Hi ____________, this is _________________. Do you have a few minutes? Ok, great! I’m calling to ask you a favor…I have a challenge to put MK on 30 faces in the next 30 days. (if you have tried it before and they know add “I’ve tried it before but this time I am bound and determined to do all 30 faces!” ha ha ha). Anyway, You don’t have to buy anything, I just need faces to practice on and to get your opinion of the products. Is there any reason I couldn’t practice on you? (wait) Ok, awesome! Which is better for you next week? A weekday or week end? Sat or Sun? Afternoon or evening? (Book her first, then try to turn to class) Ok, great, I have you down for Saturday at 7 pm next week. By the way, if you have 3 others with you for me to do at the same time you will get __________hostess credit_____ and it would help me get this done so much faster! I’d take care of all the invitations and do all the work if you could help me out. What do you think about that? (wait)
If she agrees, do some coaching. Entice her to have her list of 20 names and numbers to you in 24 hours for a free gift. Tell her “We do 20 because life happens, and I would love for you to win ___________prize________ for having 5 ladies with you”.
If she doesn’t want to hold her appt with friends (never say the word PARTY– this is KEY),say “Ok, well I’m so excited you’re letting me practice on you because every face counts! (ha ha ha) Oh! Is there anyone else you know who might be willing to let me practice on them that I could call?” Get the names and numbers of her referrals. Get a few referrals more by asking “Anyone else, anyone else?” until she says no. Then you can call them to attempt to book them!
“Ok so are we gonna get together at your place? Can I get your address real fast? I know we get busy, so if I don’t talk to you again, I’ll be there on Saturday as planned ok? One last thing, I’m in this contest and I HAVE to get this done by ________date________. Could you please let me know ASAP if you need to reschedule so I can keep a proper count of my faces? Ok, thanks so much, we are gonna have a blast and I really appreciate your help! I’ll be getting you a reminder in the mail today. Talk to you later!”
Send a thank you note ASAP with a reminder of her date and the details.

–> KEEP THINGS VERY CASUAL. THE MORE COMPLEX YOU MAKE IT, THE LESS THEY WANT TO DO IT. Perhaps practice the script on your director or recruiter and ask for honest feedback. You want it to sound natural.
–> I AM OFFERING TO BRING BROWNIES TO EACH APPT, THEY JUST PROVIDE CHIPS AND SODA. IF THEY KNOW YOU ARE PREPARING SOMETHING TO BRING, IT OFTEN HELPS IT HOLD OR AT LEAST HELPS FOR THEM TO CALL YOU IF THEY NEED TO CANCEL. THEY OFTEN THINK “OH SHE MIGHT BE COOKING, I SHOULD CALL HER AND LET HER KNOW…”
