Don’t Let “It” Creep In

What is “it”? “It” is the little voice that tells you that this might not work. “No one wants to book with you right now, ” it whispers, “No one has any money to buy what you have to offer.” This voice steals your joy, makes you doubt yourself, and turns every bad day into “I can’t do this”.

Don’t let it creep it! How can we keep it out? Continue reading

Sight v. Vision

Did you know there was a diffence between sight and vision? Rena Tarbet spoke some about this at the retreat. There is a HUGE differnece! Sight has nothing to do with faith. “Sight” is knowing for certain because you have seen it or done it before. Sight is knowing your house is right there because you can see it right in front of you.

Vision is very different. Vision is knowing you can do something simply by faith. You get that feeling inside that you can do it. You can see yourself in that director suit. You can feel the hot lights of the Seminar stage on your smiling face. Continue reading

You are Worthy

I just love this site Life of . Check out these important reminders…

You are Worthy Author Unknown

“Do not undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others.
It is because we are different that each of us is special.

Do not set your goals by what other people deem important.
Only you know what is best for you.

Do not take for granted the things closest to your heart.
Cling to them as you would your life, for without them, life is meaningless.

Do not let your life slip through your fingers by living in the past nor for the future.
By living your life one day at a time, you live all the days of your life.

Do not give up when you still have something to give.
Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying.

Do not be afraid to encounter risks.
It is by taking chances that we learn how to be brave.

Do not shut love out of your life by saying it is impossible to find.
The quickest way to receive love is to give love;
The fastest way to lose love is too hold it too tightly;
In addition, the best way to keep love is to give it wings.

Do not dismiss your dreams.
To be without dreams is to be without hope;
To be without hope is to be without purpose.

Do not run through life so fast that you forget not only where you have been, but also where you are going.

Life is not a race, but a journey to be savored each step of the way.”

Fearless: A Poem To Remember

This poem is from Life of

Fearless By Unknown

“There’s nothing to fear, you’re as good as the best,
As strong as the mightiest, too.
You can win in every battle or test;
For there’s no one just like you.

There’s only one you in the world today;
So nobody else, you see,
Can do your work in as fine a way:
You’re the only you there’ll be

So face the world, and all life is yours
To conquer and love and live:
And you’ll find the happiness that endures
In just the measure you give;

There’s nothing too good for you to possess,
Nor heights where you cannot go:
Your power is more than belief or guess
It is something you have to know.

There is nothing to fear, you can and you will.
For you are the invincible you.
Set your foot on the highest hill
There’s nothing you cannot do.”

Do You Need to or Want to?

This quote comes from Shades of Pink’s Awesome Positive Blog! If you haven’t checked it out in a while, you should! She is constantly adding new things that are a great reminder or a wonderful, quick, pick-me-up. Thanks, Shades of Pink, for your efforts. I love your blog!

This “Power Quote” as Shades calls it is by Ralph Marston.

“The more you see yourself as needing anything, the less you’re able to enjoy it. So let go of the need and allow the enjoyment to happen.

Do you need to go to work today, or do you enjoy the opportunity to create value and to make a difference? It all depends on how you look at it. See your effort strictly as a need and it takes on the qualities of a burden. See that effort as a choice, a pleasure, a privilege, and you raise it to a whole new level of effectiveness. Victim Mentality Quiz

When things don’t go your way, is it always someone else’s fault? Do you feel powerless over your own life and business?

Check out this article and the online quiz below it to see if you are a Champion or a Victim (in your mind…)

“Turning Victim Mentality into Champion Mentality”

Victim mentality. Do you have it? Not sure? Then let me ask you a few simple questions.

Do you find yourself saying, or thinking, any or all of these things on a regular basis:

“It’s not my fault!”

“I didn’t have time, or I haven’t had time!”
“I’m not a lucky person.”
“I never get what I deserve.”
You see, if you are prone to uttering these things, or even thinking them, then you are putting yourself in the role of the victim. This is the language that a victim uses. What a victim seeks to do is shift blame. They shovel blame off onto everybody but themselves. A person using this language is not seeking to learn from his or her experiences. Continue reading

I See Queen Bees in My Future…

queen-bee4.jpgTo reach a goal, they say we have to be able to touch it. See it. Feel it. We have to visualize everything about how it will be when we achieve that goal. I have been trying to imagine my life as not the waitress I currently am, but the director I am going to be.

So I have picked a unit name. Yep…I know I have only 3 team members, but yes, I have picked a unit name to help me in visualizing my unit and to use in my daily affirmation.

Kellye’s Queen Bees

Why Queen Bees? Well, the queen be runs her own hive (this can be portrayed as either a unit or a mk business since we each run our own). The queen’s main job is to produce “queen substance” to attact others to her. Attract, not attack! 🙂 Continue reading
